I am a 34 year old mother of a bright, endlessly talkative 3 year old and a wife to a wonderful husband. My daughter continuously inspires me to learn new things, as I watch her explore our world.

For the past 9 years, I have worked as a Registered Nurse. I am passionate about this profession, which seems to be changing constantly as we gain more knowledge about human health. I love that I am involved in the intimate moments of people’s lives–everything from birth, to illness and death. As a nurse, I initially worked in the hospital, then moved into my current area of community health nursing. This profession has also allowed me to volunteer in isolated villages in the Yukon and Nepal.

I am hoping that studying education will help me share my nursing knowledge with others. I have aspirations to teach in nursing schools in the future.

My interests include gardening, running, swimming, piano and making my own sauerkraut.
